How to wear Peplum Trend

Peplum is a must have item in your wardrobe and there so many ways you can wear them. Peplum suits everyone regardless of  your shape, size or age. They are flatters your figure and they are so versatile they can literally be worn with anything.  

Peplum trend has been around since 1950 and is structured waist embellishment, it's wave, ruffle, pleat or structure that flairs from the waist.

 And guess what the right peplum can actually make you look thinner and it also gives an illusion of a smaller waist. Peplum comes in form a dress, top, skirt, blazers and jackets. Whatever you wear below the peplum should be streamlined.

 Pair a peplum top with a fitted pencil skirt and heels/pumps. This can be a casual, date night or office wear. For work wear opt for a skirt and top with similar colours or colour block it depending on what your plans are. Make sure the pencil skirt is just a little bit above the knee or on the knee to elongate your legs.

Wear a peplum top with fitted wide legs pants and court shoes for a chic office look. If your office is more conservative opt for neutral colours or similar colours.

Pair your peplum dress with heels and a tiny belt for a casual or office look. You can also throw in a statement necklace to this look

Team up a peplum skirt with a blouse and heels for a casual or office look.

Wear a double peplum top with tailored/fitted pants/skirts and heels. Also pair your peplum top with distressed/ripped jeans for a chic edgy tomboy look.

Pair your peplum top with shorts, sandals/brush for a weekend/relaxing look. Wear a peplum jacket over skirts, jeans, pants, jumpsuits, and dresses.
