Military-inspired camouflage trend for AW13

Military-inspired camouflage was one of summer’s biggest trends and is set to get bigger for autumn/winter 2013. Military trend put fashionistas in the right line of fire for a grunge autumn winter look. 

These prints have been spotted on t-shirts, parkas, pants, sweatshirts, shirts, dresses & accessories. Designers have taken the military camouflage trend to a whole new level.

Military print has a masculine feel to it, so try to balance it out by incorporating feminine pieces to your look.

If you’re new to this trend we suggest you opt for one military print at a time or wear the print in muted tones. You can also start off with wearing camouflage accessories or mixing camouflage prints with neutral pieces from your wardrobe. 

Pair camouflages head to toe for a statement look. Camo/military prints can be paired with other prints such as animal prints, polka dots, floral print or bold colours.

Una Healy wore a military inspired camo shorts with a sleeveless denim zip through top, Guess trainers and black shades for an effortless look. Maria Menounos wore denim-camouflage hotpants with a white V neck t-shirt, sunglasses, and cowgirl ankle boots for a va va voom look. Jessica Alba wore an army print jacket with a black t-shirt, mini skirt, black leggings and geeky sunglasses.

How to wear camouflage print

Wear a camouflage parka jacket with a pair of shorts, skinny jeans or a dress. Pair a camouflage pants with a denim shirt/t-shirt & heels for a stylish look. Wear a military print t-shirt with a skater, ankle strap sandals & a clutch bag & soldier on. Wear military accessories such as shoes, handbags or scarf with your outfit.
