Dashiki is a colorful garment that can be worn by both men and women. The name dashiki comes from the Yoruba tribe dàńṣíkí in West Africa which means ‘shirt’ or ‘inner garment’. Dashiki is also known as ‘kitenge’ by most people of East Africa and ‘java’ in Indonesia.
Dashiki can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Dashiki is characterised by loose-long fitting short sleeves and can be worn with chinos, jeans or shorts.
Stephen paired his dashiki shirt with a pair of red chinos, beaded bracelet and black loafers.
