Belly bottoms/flared pants are style savvy addition to every wardrobe. These 19th century pants/jeans were initially worn by the American sailors for functionality purpose. The reason that the US navy wore these bell bottom style were to make it easier to catch a sailor who had fallen overboard. Another reason was to make it easier to remove the pants over the boots. Easier to roll up the cuff to avoid getting drenched in sea water and also was used as a makeshift floating device when filled with air.
Belle bottoms pants can be worn by both males and females. These pants are versatile and easy to style. They can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
