Catwalk4Change: Bloggers on catwalk

How to pull off an Asian inspired look

Catwalk4change fashion show

Catwalk4change fashion show took place last Friday where I strut my stuff on the catwalk, which was nerve racking & fun. The show was amazing and the turn out was incredible and I got to meet amazing fellow bloggers, stylists and designers .

Edita Lozovska from Pret a reporter & Angel Sinclair the co-founder of Models of Diversity did an amazing job to ensure the show was successful. I had two outfit changes from O’Nitaa, sorry I don’t have photos of the second outfit as I was busy taking other people photos. The concept of the show was to portray culture Diversity where African descent were dressed up in Asian attires, Europeans wore wore African prints.

Asian inspired look: O’nitaa design

O’Nitaa is an internationally famous multi-designer retail store that markets women’s and men’s clothing and accessories. O’nitaa introduce the works of some of Asia’s highly skilled designers to the West and sales via their retail store based in the heart of London. This gold & red maxi dress with a long sleveless embellishment cape was one of my favourite. The maxi dress featured embellishment at the top and red pleated skirt at bottom, which go well together with the cape.

Illamasqua

Illamasqua did the make up. Illamasqua is an independent make up brand that that empowers people to express their individuality. Looking at these photos red lipstick does not fit meet at all. I normally don’t wear lipstick but if I have to I would wear a darker shade lipsticks. My hair got straightened which was a bit of a shock to me, as I have not straightened my hair in the last three years.

I found out that there’s lack of natural hair stylists as my hair was in a twist out and most of the hair stylists did know how to style or handle it. At one point the hair stylist brushed & combed my hair without spraying it with water and even used hair straightener without applying heat protection product on my hair as this is essential to help shield your hair from heat.

Nevertheless I had fun and I was happy to be involved in the Catwalk4Change as it was for a good cause. I will post more photos of the show once I get hold of them.
