We know we’re a little bit late to this party as New York Fashion week ended a while back, but that won’t stop us from letting you guys know the latest spring-summer 2015 fashion trends.
Designers showed off their creations for Spring/Summer 2015 at NYFW, and below is a recap of what to expect in Spring-summer 2015.
BCBG Max Azria Spring/Summer 2015 collection
BCBG Max Azria sent models down the runway wearing coloursplash & pastel pieces of pale, ethereal colors like pink, light blush, ecru, light aqua, gray violet and lavender. The collection looked like it was Asian inspired and included silk wrap dresses with quilted belts, side splits & V-neck, silk & sheer/chiffon dresses. White oversized jacket teamed with white silk dress, white embroidered motorcycle jacket, and cotton mesh embroidered top, culottes and embroidered top.
Rebecca Minkoff Spring/Summer 2015 collection
Rebecca Minkoff beach ready collection made us long for the beach. Minkoff said her collection this year was inspired by the late fashion photographer Deborah Turbeville, known for transforming the art form into something more moody and avant-garde. Her collection was aimed at younger women featuring flowing dresses, skirts & tops, floppy hats, lace or ruffled hems, sheer top worn over ripped denim overall, £-D glasses, round tan bag with fringe details, perforated top paired with striped float skirt, silk dress with side pocket, silk cami tops paired with light weight trousers, striped shirt dress with front slits and perforated tousers teamed with halter neck top for beach ready.
Monique Lhuillier Spring/Summer 2015 collection
Monique Lhuillier showcased amazing evening dresses with a lot of shimmer & full puffy quilted skirting. Monique’s SS5 collection colours were soft pink, coral, mint green, sky blue, lavender and pale yellow which were inspired by the first moments of sunrise. Her collection featured boob tube metallic dress, evening dresses in muted pastels with shimmer & full puffy quilted skirt, princess-worthy gowns in delicate silk fabrics, embroidered with intricate beading, shimmery mint green skirt that fell below the knee, trousers & dress with sky & ocean pattern, paired with a sheer button-down sleeveless top worn with a black bandeau underneath. Ballroom embroidery dresses, coral float dress, a dress that features sheer top and lilac skirt and a ruffled dress.
L.A.M.B. Spring/Summer 2015 collection
Gwen Stefani returned to New York Fashion Week with her fashion brand L.A.M.B. featuring modern tribal looks and batik pieces. The singer described the batik prints in bright pink, earthy horizontal lines of color and pops of orange in her collection as the “New Nomad” collection for spring. She also debuted her new shoes and bags collection, including a pair of heels with luminescent strap detailing. The singer/fashion designer described her new dresses and trousers as a mashup of tribal and graphic prints meet the Orange County girl, with a Jamaican vibe thrown in. L.A.M.B. collection featured harem pants worn with a batik bomber jacket, a batik sweatshirt paired with a mint green mini skirt with two front zippers. Bold trousers of pink, orange and batik, black and white dresses, army green safari pants with matching jacket and tribal maxi dresses.
Charlotte Ronson Spring/Summer 2015 collection
Charlotte Ronson got her inspiration from a palette of blue hues for her Spring-summer 2015 collection. The designer sent models down the runway in sky blue tops, teal tailored playsuits and navy blue sheaths. The models were all accessorized with Teva-style sandals in blue, white and black and round sunglasses. The collection featured sheer tops, boxy cropped romper, denim jacket, cropped trousers, sheer dress, shirt dress, cami dress, cami top, shorts, perforated top, denim skirt and white sheath dress.
