Hope y’all had a lovely weekend; I have been a bit under the weather, I guess there’s a bug going round but I ‘am now feeling a bit better. Today is FashionCadet One year anniversary and we would like to appreciate every one that reads this blog and for the fashionistas who agreed to have their photos taken by us, thank y’all from the bottom of our hearts. Back to the outfit: I wore my windowpane blouse with a black lace skirt, leopard print scarf, knuckle rings and grey stilettos for a minimalist look. Windowpane trend also known as grid print is a subtle yet refreshing and will spice up your look in a matter of seconds. This print looks great in small or large scales.
Windowpane trend were a big hit last year and are set to carry on this year. This trend has been spotted on celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Mary Winstead to fashionistas and fashion bloggers.
Grid print trend was also seen on catwalk shows of Trussardi, Banana Republic and Creatures of Comfort for their AW13 collections where they sent models down the catwalk wearing windowpane prints. These oversized checks come in blouses, dresses, skirts, suits, trousers, accessories, bomber jackets and blazers. This trend looks great when paired with neutral colours, bold colours or mix and match them with prints & patterns.
