Coat worn as a dress with a gold belt/ Coat dress

How to style a coat dress

Not sure if this is just a coat or a dress but Amanda Holden sure knows how to keep us wondering.  The star attended the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Manchester in a white Samuel Dougal coat worn as a dress which she accessorised with a chunky gold waist belt and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin heels.

Amanda broke the fashion rule by exposing both her incredible pins and cleavage which she managed to pull it off. Kudos to Amanda for wearing this coat which looks like it only has one button and managed not to have a wardrobe malfunction.

Tips on how to wear a coat as a dress/coat dress

  • First things first, when it comes to wearing a coat as a dress we recommend that you invest in nice pair of inner wears and whatever you do don’t go commando on us (you’ll thank us later).
  • If you’re bold enough you can wear the coat on its own with nothing underneath it, just make sure it has plenty of buttons to stop you from exposing your goods.
  • Wear the coat with a silk cami dress, negligee or mini dress underneath it. Accessories (such as belts, scarf, statement necklaces, and handbags) are essential when it comes to spicing up your look.

Coats worn as dresses can be teamed with heels for chic casual look or flat shoes for a laid back look.
