Does racism still exist in the Fashion Industry?

Racial discrimination in the fashion industry

Why hire a coloured/black/African descent model when you can use bronzer on a white one? Or may be coloured/black/African descent model are not skinny enough, young enough, pretty enough, or don’t want to earn loads of money or it’s just racism.

Numéro magazine  couldn’t be bothered to hire a coloured/black/ African descent model and decided to use a 16 year old Ondria Hardin (who is blond haired and has blue eyes) for their fashion title ‘African Queen’. I guess there’s first time for every thing.

The French magazine doused Ondria Hardin (underaged) with layers of bronzer in order for her to pose for an African inspired look. Hopefuly one of these days we will see an  African descent/coloured/ black model pose for article titled white Chick.

Does racism still exist in the Fashion Industry? 1

Looking at the Fashion weeks for example, it had 82.7% white models, 9.1 Asian models, 6% Black models, 2% latin models and 0.3% others (not sure what others means btw). This clearly tells you there is still alot of work that need to be done in fashion industry.
