Nautical stripes

Nautical stripes are back this spring-summer. Either you own a yacht or not nautical stripes are among the trends you should be wearing this season.

For spring, there are a few trends that always stick, year after year. Floral is one, and nautical another.

Nautical striped skirts– Kate Moss enjoyed a night out in a monochrome stripe handkerchief skirt which she paired with a black top, waistcoat, black Saint Laurent tailored tuxedo jacket, snakeskin platform heels, brooches on the lapel and a yellow Longchamps sunshine Gloucester croco clutch. Mollie King wore an Oasis blue and white stripe A line midi skirt with a blue leather crop t-shirt and white ankle strap heels at the launch of her first Loved by Mollie edit for Oasis’ spring/summer 2014 collection. Sophie Cookson wore a striped skater skirt with a black long sleeved top with matching heels & clutch at Independent Film Awards. Mel B wore an A.L.C striped asymmetric skirt with a matching crop top & over the knee boots at the premiere of Mr. Peabody & Sherman in Westwood in Los Angeles.

Nautical striped tops: Jenna Dewan Tatum showed off her amazing figure in fitted green trousers, loose long sleeved striped top,  sunglasses and Chanel quilted bag as she leaves the hair salon. Emmy Rossum paired her black & white striped shirt with blue ripped jeans, shades, white bag with mesh details and a pair of sandal for a day look. Lily Allen wore black leather trousers with Ashish blue bicolour striped sequin top, metallic Louboutin silver shoes, blue Chanel bag and a huge blue ring. She wore a long braid wrapped around her head. Kyle Richards wore long sleeved lavender and purple horizontal stripes blouse with dark blue jeans, peep toe coral high heels and and a large cobalt blue handbag as she headed to her boutique. Millie Mackintosh attended Tesco’s F&F AW14fashion show wearing a white short suit with a Breton boat neck t-shirt and white River Island strappy heels and an embellished see through clutch.

Striped shorts:  Lucy Mecklenburgh showed off her long pins in a pair of grey and black striped shorts which she covered up in a white jumper, leopard print bag and black & white sandals. Nicole Pedra wore a T-shirt with the slogan ‘Twerkin’ for a Birkin’ with striped short, sandals and a large handbag for a lunch date with her boyfriend Alexander Ludwig.

Nautical striped dresses: Tori Spelling wore a black & white striped pencil dress with mesh neckline as she stepped out to a meeting in Los Angeles. She paired the striped dress with red heels and a skinny belt. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a monochrome stripe dress with autograph suede clear heel sandals both from M&S. Rita Ora wore a navy blue varsity baseball jacket with a form fitting striped maxi dress, Adidas platform trainers, furry fuchsia backpack with polka dot detailing by House of Holland and a baseball cap for a sport luxe look.  Billie Faiers wore a black & white striped knee-length dress with a pair of red high-heeled shoes and a matching clutch handbag at the F&F fashion show at Somerset House. January Jones stepped out in a £70 Topshop satin stripe dress with black sandals and a clutch bag.

Stripes head to toe: Kourtney Kardashian paired baggy black and white striped trousers with a light blue and dark blue stripe button-up blouse, Chanel espadrilles, sunglasses and an over sized Chanel tote slung over her shoulder. Rihanna wore a vertical striped skirt with front slit which she teamed with a silk striped blouse exposing her chest & a pair of pointy white pumps featuring many criss-crossing laces.

Nautical striped jacket blazer: Lucy Watson wore a short black skirt with black tights, a black and white jailbird striped jacket, a crisp white shirt, a black clutch bag and blue suede stiletto heels to the Bounce Minicab app launch at the Cuckoo Club in Central London. Jamie Laing wore a Bershka nautical striped blazer with Bershka black trousers, aviator sunglasses, blue handbag and a cream blouse by Miss Selfridge

Matching stripe cropped tops with skirts: Vanessa Hudgens paired her horizontal striped crop top with a skirt, necklace, sunglasses, open-toed black-and-white high-heels and a large matching black-and-white purse. Paris Hilton wore I ‘Heart’ Ronson long-sleeve striped Crop Top with a matching pencil skirt, a quilted Chanel bag, large sunglasses and black heels.
