Puff striped skirts with a floral top: Stripes & Floral

How to style Stripes & Floral prints

Hope you y’all having a lovely week so far and keeping warm. I wore this puff striped skirt a few days ago even though they’re a little bit out of my comfort zone as I tend to wear more of bodycon skirts. Puff skirts are bang on trend this season and we have seen them everywhere ranging from maxi to mini and midi length.

Billowing stripe skirts were spotted in the fashion radar when Jil Sander featured colour block styles in bold colours in her Spring/Summer 2011 collection and it wasn’t long before we spotted this trend on high streets.

I tend to stay clear of puff of flared clothing as you tend to be conscious every time there’s a little breeze passing through & I have got no time for that (with Sweet Brown voice lol). While I was doing window shopping yes, window shopping I stumble upon this striped puff skirt which I could not help it but buy it as it was on sale for a ridiculous price. Do you guys tend to buy things just because they’re on sale at a ridiculous price? I sometimes do that which is not good.

Two weeks after buying the skirt hoping the weather will get better (wishful thinking) I just had to brave the autumn weather and wear it. This is such a flattery playful skirt than can be worn on its own or paired with stockings or leggings for an autumn-winter look. Puff skirts can be dressed up by pairing them with heels or dressed down by wearing them with flat shoes such as biker boots or ballet pumps.

I paired the puff striped mini skirt with a long sleeved floral top (also seen here & here), necklace and black suede wedges for a mixing print look. To find out on how to wear floral print click here, and here on ways to wear stripe trend.
