Summer is finally here after months of horrible weather, I couldn’t be happier. Anyway enough about the weather as we may as well enjoy it while it last, I wore these ensemble on Saturday where I paired my ripped jeans with sandals, t-shirt, a red tote bag, and a long chain for an edgy look.
Ripped jeans are back from the 90s and are bang on trend this summer 2013. Ripped jeans can be transformed from casual to chic. Choose a classic style and fit that works for you. Destroyed jeans range from skinny legs to wide leg boyfriend jeans. Ripped jeans are versatile, classic, timeless and quirky.
If you’re curvy go for a pair of jeans that are ripped at the knees and below to draw less attention to your thigh area, also go for vertical rips to make you look leaner. Curvaceous people should opt for dark colours of ripped jeans as they are more flattering and will give them an illusion of a slimmer figure.
If you’re slim go for any types of rips and colours (pale or dark colours) but avoid wearing jeans that have rips that expose your modesty. You can create a feminine or androgynous look with ripped jeans. Wear your distressed jeans as you would wear your normal jeans and if you don’t have ripped jeans. Here are a few ways you can wear your ripped jeans, for a feminine casual look pair your skinny ripped jeans with a peplum top, heels, clutch and a statement necklace. For an androgynous look pair ripped boyfriend jeans with a t-shirt and converse. For a day out shopping look, pair your ripped jeans with a blouse and sandals/pumps.
