Yesterday was the biggest night in the show business and we didn’t care who was going to win what, all we cared about was what they were wearing.
Most celebrities looked amazing but as usual they were celebrities who made a fashion misstep at the 86th annual Academy Awards. There was plenty of pastel blue & pink, embellished dresses, men in tuxedos, nude hues, white & black gown & emerald green.
Below is what celebrities wore to the Oscar red carpet.
Lupita Nyong’o wore a pastel blue plunging neckline fairytale dress by Prada. Angelina Jolie looked stunning in Elie Saab Fall 2013 embellished gown. Cate Blanchett wowed the red carped in nude Armani Prive embellished gown from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Jennifer Lawrence opted for a bold orange colour gown with peplum details at the waist by Christian Dior couture.
Sandra Bullock looked every inch a lady in a navy blue Alexander McQueen gown. PenelopeCruz wore a one shoulder pastel pink gown with a black belt by Giambattista Valli Couture. Julia Roberts wore a Givenchy black lace dress with peplum details for a simple but elegant look. Kate Hudson looked stylish in a draped silky Atelier Versace silver plunging gown with cape style details.
Anne Hathaway looked fabulous in a black Gucci halter neck dress which featured metallic details and a back slit. Jennifer Garner wore an Oscar de la Renta silver fringe dress for a 1960s inspired look. Emma Watson wore a Vera Wang pewter glittering gown which features a crew neck bodice & a mermaid skirt. Kristen Bell looked stunning in a Roberto Cavalli cream embellished gown which she paired with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Brian Atwood heels.
Kerry Washington & Olivia Wilde looked every inch yummy mums to be in a silk grey Jason Wu gown and monochrome black & white Valentino gowns. Sally Hawkins wore a long sleeved ornate Valentino gown. Portia de Rossi looked effortlessly elegant in cream lace dress from Naeem Khan Pre-fall 2014 collection.
Indina Menzel wore a strapless forest green Vera Wang dress. Sarah Paulson & Kristn Chenoweth wore an Elie Saab glittering dress and metallic Roberto Cavalli dress respectively. Calista Flockhart wore a white a embroidered Andrew Gn creation.
The men also scrub up well in tux and suit.
