Denim dungarees

Denim dungarees have made a comeback. This trend which was favoured by farmers and mechanics is now a must have trend in your spring-summer wardrobe. Denim dungarees also known as overalls, onesies, one-piece or jumpsuits are versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Denim dungarees were inspired by Ralph Lauren and DKNY Spring 2014 runways and since then we have spotted a few fashionistas opting for this new summer staple which is stylish, cool and comfortable. Since denim is the way to go, you can’t go wrong with, full-length style, ¾ sleeves top style and cuffed hem style dungarees. 

Below are ways you can rock your denim dungarees/ overalls/jumpsuit trend this spring summer

Denim dungarees with crop tops: LeAnn Rimes wore her denim rolled up dungarees with black peep toe shoe-boots, black crop top, tan fringe handbag and aviator sunglasses for a summer look. Selena Gomez paired her floral crop top with a pair of distressed denim dungarees, sunglasses, strappy heels and a white bag. 

Denim dungarees with breton stripe tops:Jordana Brewster hit the shops & beauty salon in one piece denim which she paired with a breton stripe top with espadrilles, handbag and sunglasses. Ashley Tisdale paired her denim overalls with a striped crop top underneath it flashing her side tummy, a pair of black Chanel sandals, sunglasses and a red beanie hat for a ’90s inspired outfit.

One-piece denim with a shirt: Helena Christensen stepped out in a denim overall which she teamed with a blue shirt, over-sized sunglasses, a sleeveless cardigan with deer motif – and a pair of green flat shoes. 

Denim overall with a t-shirt: Heidi Klum paired ripped denim dungarees with a peach t-shirt, black bag, aviator sunglasses and trainers. Naomi Watts dressed in denim rolled up overall with a pink t-shirt, tortoise-shell Celine sunglasses, $1,400 Balenciaga tan handbag and sandals.

Denim dungarees with leather jacket & boots: Lindsay Lohan arriving in LAX airport wearing denim dungarees over a sheer black blouse with white polka dots, leather boots and a matching leather jacket and fedora. Keira Knightley has been spotted in numerous occasion wearing denim dungarees. The star stepped out in her favourite denim dungarees with a pair of dark shades, Dr Martens 1460 Forlife boots and a black leather jacket for a rock chic look.

Denim Overalls with vests/tank tops: Hilary Duff showed off svelte shape in a pair of light grey denim overalls with a white tank top, sunglasses, hoop earrings, a handbag and tan booties for a shopping look. Diane Kruger looked dressed down in a pair of casual dungarees cuffed at the bottom teamed with a pattern printed white tank top and a pair of black and tan coloured flats.

Denim boiler suit: Rebecca Romijn made her way through LAX airport wearing a denim boiler suit which she paired with bright red ankle boots and sunglasses. Abbey Clancy wore a black R13 cowboy denim jumpsuit with maroon Isabel Marant boots, Sandro teddy bear coat and black sunglasses.

Denim onesie with sandals: January Jones enjoyed an outing with her son where she wore a light pink half-sleeved top over blue denim overalls with a pair of shiny metallic gold sandals and retro tortoiseshell sunglasses. Alessandra Ambrosio stepped out for lunch date wearing blue denim onesie with a white soft shirt underneath it, leather sandals and reflective aviator sunglasses. Jessica Alba paired her loose fitting denim jumpsuit with chunky gold necklace, white purse and silver sandals as she headed to a children’s birthday party with daughter Honor.

Denim Jumpsuit with heels: Gwen Stefani stepped out wearing denim Hatch jumpsuit which features a gathered elastic waistband and cuffs. She paired her one-piece with a pair of sky-high black and white platform pumps, her signature red lipstick and black sunglasses. Jamie Chung paired her Paige Lexie denim one-piece with sandal heeled boots, white striped cardigan and sunglasses for a sartorial look.

Acid wash denim jumpsuit with metallic gold: Jennifer Hudson attended the BET Fan Fest in a plain stonewash denim jumpsuit with long sleeves and an elasticated  waistband. The singer accessorised her look with silver rings, a pair of diamond stud earrings and metallic gold ankle strap heels.
