How to wear Checked/Plaid shirts for a grunge look

Make your wardrobe all 90s this AW13. The grunge trend is so hot this autumn/winter, that everyone from young to old is rocking it not forgetting celebrities who have been bringing back the 90s in grungey plaid/checked shirts & distressed denim.

 Plaid shirts are easy to wear and can be dressed up by wearing heels or down by wearing flat shoes. Wear your checked shirt with jeans, dresses, and shorts or dress it up with a skirt or tie it around your waist. Then turn up the Pearl Jam and let’s rock. 

Recently we have spotted a lot of celebs both male & females rocking plaid shirts. Jennifer Garner teamed her checked shirt with her rolled up jeans, black sunglasses and brogues. Ben Affleck wore his checked shirt with a leather jacket & jeans. Agyness Deyn looks casual in a loosely fitted red, blue & white checked top which she teamed it up with black & white striped top underneath it, black leggings & black shoes with white laces. January Jones teamed up her plaid shirt with a cardigan, jeans & sandals for a stylish effortless look.

Matthew Morrison and his girlfriend Renee Puente wore matching grunge-inspired ensembles with jeans as they headed to the farmer’s market. Kimberly Stewart wore a tattered white blouse which she layered with a blue & white plaid shirt, ripped denim jeans, strappy sandals & a patterned red scarf on her neck for a stylish 90 look. Katherine Jenkins looked incredibly amazing in this checked mini dress which she teamed it up with nude  Jimmy Choo Pela wedges & striped bag. Miley Cyrus paired her plaid shirt with a white t-shirt dress & converse for a dressed down look.

Gwen Stefani tied her checked shirt around her waist with a black ensemble. Alexa Chung wore white top, short, slippers & tied her plaid shirts around her waist for a trendy look. Miley Cyrus paired her plaid shirt with a printed t-shirt, black shorts & converse.
