New York Fashion week kicked off a few days ago and we’ve already fallen in love with some of the pieces we have spotted on the runway show.
Below is a recap of what to expect come autumn-winter 2015
Red Valentino Autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
Valentino got his inspiration from the 90s as the collection features checks/plaids in green and black and white, floral dresses paired with plaid shirts, floral co-ord sets, plaid capes coats, furry cropped coats, white knitted stocking, plaid handbags, leather shorts, large gingham prints shirts, gingham capes, coats, dresses, skirts & tops, tweed cropped coats & skirts, sheer panel dresses, shearling collar coats, cartoon embroidered pieces, leopard print outwear, culottes and striped tops.
BCBG Max Azria autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
BCBG Max Azria was one of our favourite collections as the pieces are wearable. The designer featured draped knitwear, culottes, over the knee boots, embroidered coats, long asymmetrical pull turtle necks, leather tops mixed with laces, east Asian inspired coats, sweater turtle neck dresses, wool collarless coats, oversized coats, west Indians inspired pieces, boxy coats, long cape coats, fringed dresses/skirts, leather dresses and chiffon dresses.
Kanye West x Adidas Originals autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
Not sure where to start with this collection as it’s not for the faint hearted as most of the pieces are too transparent to be walking around in them. The only good thing about this collection is the diversity of models on the catwalk as Kanye used models of different sizes, shapes and races. Kanye claims that he wanted the collection to be made up of ‘solutions based clothing,’ saying, ‘I don’t want the clothes to be the life, I want the clothes to help the life.’ If stockings are your things you will definitely love this collection. The collection features crop top, nude body stockings with crop tops underneath them, camouflage jacket, stockings worn over heels/shoes, oversized backpacks, police vests, leg warmers, bomber jackets, frayed & raw hems tops, ripped sweatpants, flak vest, oversized jacket, sweatshirts/pants, and leggings.
Creatures of Comfort autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
Creatures of Comfort collection featured double slit skirts, leather jackets, striped belted dress, checkerboard dress & skirts, Japanese style belted coats, knitted dresses, fur vest, shirt dresses with large front pocket, kimono style belted dresses & tops, dressing gown style coat, oversized coats, wide leg culottes, oversized blazers, front bow tie long coat, wide leg trousers, long & oversize coats.
Jason Wu autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
Jason Wu collection featured dark blue, red, monochrome and earthly colours. The designer sent models down the runway dressed in army green coats, skirts, tops, trousers & dresses, fur shrug/wrap, front slit dresses, army green pussybow blouse, tailored trousers, structured dressed, army green snake skin leather dress, skirt & peplum top, long coats, plunging neckline dresses, sheer dresses, long camel coats and fur coat.
Rebecca Minkoff autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
Rebecca Minkoff opted for a bohemian look throughout his collections. The collection featured shoulder cut out dresses, fringed bags, fringed over the knee pep toe boots, leather A line skirts, bomber jackets, co-ord set, sweater dresses, fedora hats, floral dresses, blanket wrap capes, sheer dresses, fringed dresses and leather pants.
Cushnie Et Ochs autumn-winter 2015-16 collection
Cushnie Et Ochs featured plunging neckline dresses, high waist wide leg trousers, boxy cropped top, thigh high dresses, jumpsuit, cut out thigh high dress, one shoulder dress, sheer panel dresses, plunging neckline jumpsuit and fur coat.
