Turmeric
Turmeric not only adds colour and taste to food, it can also be used as a beauty product to give you a flawless skin.
Here are a few benefits of turmeric: keeps the wrinkles in check, reduces the signs of ageing & spots, reduces inflammation and oil secretion, lighten stretch marks; and it also has antiseptic properties.
Turmeric as exfoliating agent – Turmeric helps get rid of dead cell. Take turmeric powder and make a paste by adding lemon/cucumber juice. Make sure your face is clean before applying the paste and gently scrubbing the paste onto your skin in a circular motion. Leave the paste to dry off (15-20 minutes) before washing it off with lukewarm water and moisturise as usual.
Turmeric as wrinkle treatment- Make a paste using turmeric with one of these ingredients milk, sugarcane, raw organic honey to manage your wrinkle woes. Leave it to dry on your skin for approximately 15-20mins before washing your face with lukewarm water.
Turmeric as ageing treatment– You can also make a turmeric paste using yoghurt, water or milk (milk helps peel off the dead skin cells) to reduce signs of ageing. Leave the paste to dry on your skin for approximately 15-20mins before washing your face with lukewarm water.
Turmeric as acne treatment- Since turmeric act as an anti-inflammatory you can prepare a scrub by adding lemon juice or water to turmeric powder to create a paste. Leave it to dry on your skin for approximately 15-20mins before washing your face with lukewarm water.
Turmeric as stretch marks treatment- Mix gram flour, turmeric powder and one of these ingredients (water, raw milk, yoghurt) together to help lighten the stretch marks. . Leave paste to dry on your skin for approximately 15-20mins before washing your face with lukewarm water.
