Aspirin

Aspirin is a wonder drug that not only banishes headaches and fever but is proven to reduce swelling and unclog pores. Aspirin contain salicylic acid which is used in many off the shelf acne products.

Benefits of aspirin:

Aspirin helps with inflammation, pigmentation, softens thick scaly skin and helps even out the skin tone. Aspirin lighten scars and blemishes acne. It has the ability to penetrate deeply to unclog pores and effectively exfoliate dead skin cells which reduces acne outbreaks and stimulates cell renewal.

Aspirin, yoghurt & honey facial mask

You’ll need: 5 aspirin tablet, 1 tablespoon plain full fat yoghurt and 1 teaspoon honey

 (Note:Since aspirin dries the skin, if you have dry skin add more honey and if you have oily skin add more yoghurt)

  • Crush 5 aspirin tablets using mortar and pestle/spoon into a fine powder 
  • Add 1 table spoon of full fat yoghurt to the aspirin powder
  • Then add 1 teaspoon of honey and mix the mixture together to create a cream like consistency.
  • Wash your face and apply the paste on your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes before rinsing your face with warm water

This mask is great with people who have open pores and extremely oily skin but it also works well with other skin types too. For dry and sensitive skin types add extra honey or aloe vera pulp to the aspirin facial mask.

Aspirin, lemon/lime juice exfoliate
  • Crush a few aspirin tablets and mix the powder with lemon or lime juice and apply on your face.
