Facial mask come in different types and styles. They are peel off mask that peel them off from your face once dried, cream and mud  masks can be washed from your face once dry. Masks can be commercially prepared, and you can also make your own from ingredients in your refrigerator or kitchen cupboard. Masks are used to deep clean your skin by removing impurities and reducing acne.  

In this homemade facial mask we will be using honey and banana. Honey has tonnes of benefit on your skin. Honey has antibacterial properties which fight acne and pimples; it also has antiseptic properties which treats cuts, abrasions and wounds. Honey acts as a moisturiser which makes your skin radiant, supple and soft. Honey is good skin cleanser which removes impurities from the skin pores leaving your skin clean and clear. Honey prevents wrinkles, acts as antioxidant which fight against skin ageing and skin damage. Honey is a good for protecting your skin to rejuvenate and stay young. Bananas are packed with nutrients that are essential for your skin. Bananas contain vitamin C which maintains skin integrity. 

  • Mash one banana and add a tablespoon of honey. Mix the two ingredients together and let the banana mixture turn brown which means that it has oxidised. 
  • Wash your face as your normal do and dry it. Use your fingers and spread a generous amount of the mask on your face.  
  • Wait for 15-20 minutes until you feel your skin tightening before washing your face.
  • Wash your face with warm water and use cold water at the end to close your pores. The mask can be used once or twice a week as it does not aggravate the skin.
