Wrinkles occur when the skin loses elasticity and moisture. Wrinkles are inevitable as they do get us in the end no matter what product you use. But here are a few tips on how to keep them at bay for as long as possible.

Daily skin care routine – Have a good skin care routine and make sure you exfoliate a couple of times a week to get rid of dead skin. Use a good anti ageing serum and moisturiser with SPF15 which will protect you from UV rays.

Anti ageing products – You should start using anti ageing products from the age of 30 to protect you against wrinkles. Use a good skin care range of anti ageing products. You should also look out for products that contain anti-oxidants (protect you cells against the effects of free radicals/pollutions), sunscreen, and peptides (boost collagen production).

Facial massage– Give face a massage which helps skin regeneration and blood circulation.

Balanced Diet– Your diet plays an important role when it comes to wrinkles. Always eat a balance diet and oily fish which are packed with essential fats and omegas (i.e. salmon, tuna etc). You should also increase your antioxidant intake by eating food with deep rich colours such as spinach, blueberries and green tea.

Lifestyle– Avoid smoking as it depletes the level of vitamin C in the body and causes lining and wrinkles. Alcohol damages the skin by dehydrating and ageing the skin. Protect yourself from the sun and always wear SPF 15 or higher sunscreen. Learn to control your facial expressions to avoid creases which become wrinkles overtime. Have plenty of sleep, laugh every now and then and drink plenty of water.

Avoid Stress– avoid getting stressed as stress causes winkle and aging of the skin. Avoid situations or people that cause you to get stressed. Manage your time better, adjust your goals, breathe in and our regularly and focus on the positive.
